Oliver Ford, Manhattan Day Center client, has won this year’s NYAHSA Art Competition. The title of his Merit Award winning painting is “Me and My Daughters Trying to Get Along”. (Mr. Ford and his winning painting are pictured above.)
Oliver has been at the Day Center since 2004, where he started and continues to paint daily. His work is hanging in the Day Center Art Gallery and will be featured in the annual Arts and Crafts Holiday Sale on December 4th in the Ben Barrack Auditorium.
The presentation of the awards took place at the Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehab Center located in Jamaica Hills, Queens on Tuesday, October 7th.
Founded in 1961, the New York Association of Homes & Services for the Aging (NYAHSA) represents not-for-profit, mission-driven and public continuing care providers, including nursing homes, senior housing, adult care facilities, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living and community service providers.
