Girl Scouts and Elders Making Strides for Access
June 7, 2017 . 4:00 – 5:30 pm (Rain Date: June 8)
The Girl Scouts of Larchmont-Mamaroneck and the elders at Sarah Neuman proudly announce a Walk & Roll event. The inspiration for this event is one of the community’s newest Girl Scouts, OLIVIA. All proceeds will support the construction of a handicap ramp at the Larchmont Girl Scout House so Olivia and others in the community can take part in all of the important Girl Scouting events held there.
Olivia will lead the way, and the Girl Scouts and Sarah Neuman elders will be paired to take part in this Walk & Roll on a course on the Sarah Neuman campus grounds.
It will be a great day with balloons and ribbons for the participants, and of course, lively music and tasty Girl Scout cookies for all of the attendees to enjoy.
We welcome the families of our residents and members of the community to show their support by coming to cheer them and the Girl Scouts on during the Walk & Roll. If you’d like to be there as a supporter of the Walk & Roll participants, please click here to let us know.
BE THERE: Sarah Neuman campus — 845 Palmer Avenue, Mamaroneck, New York, 10543
SPONSOR A GIRL SCOUT: Please sponsor the Girl Scouts you know for the Walk & Roll! Suggested sponsorship amounts are $10, $25, $50, $100 or $500, but any amount large or small is most welcome to help fund the wheelchair ramp for Olivia and others to use!
There are two ways to sponsor the Girl Scout or troop of your choice at the Walk & Roll.
Option one: Send a check, payable to ‘Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson’ to the attention of Patricia Allen, Girl Scouts of Larchmont-Mamaroneck 5 Copley Rd. Larchmont, NY 10538. Please indicate that you are sponsoring a Girl Scout for the Walk & Roll.
Option two: Donate online here at the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson website. VERY IMPORTANT: Put “Larchmont Ramp” in the comments section so the money will go to this project.
Please note that the tally of donations on the donation page is for all Annual Giving contributions received by Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson (covering seven counties), and not just donations towards the wheelchair ramp.
EVENT SPONSORS: Support for the construction of the handicap ramp at the Larchmont Girl Scout House is being funded by generous donors, including Houlihan Lawrence and the Junior League Westchester on the Sound.
