Yaffa Adar
Yaffa Adar was born in 1938 in pre-declared Israel. Yaffa has exemplified resilience and perseverance. A founding figure of Kibbutz Nir-Oz, she has dedicated her life to the values of community and solidarity.
Yaffa’s life took a harrowing turn when she was abducted by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Enduring 49 days of captivity, her strength and courage in the face of adversity inspired many around the world.
Despite the challenges she faced, Yaffa’s spirit remained unbroken.
Yaffa’s story is one of resilience and hope, showing that even in the darkest times, the human spirit can shine bright.
