We are pleased to welcome two remarkable new leaders to our Board. 




Michael Olshan  

Michael Olshan serves as managing partner of O-Corp Investments, a private investment partnership headquartered in New York. The firm is an active investor in real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources. Before founding O-Corp, Michael served as a managing director at JANA Partners, an event-driven hedge fund. Michael is a partner and board member of Coronado Resources, one of the country’s largest buyers of oil and gas royalties and mineral rights. He is also a director and member of the investment committee for Olshan Properties, Inc., a private real estate firm specializing in the development, acquisition, and management of commercial real estate throughout the U.S. He also sits on the board of the New York Yankees. Michael graduated with honors from Harvard. He’s served on task forces for the president of Harvard University and the dean of Harvard College and sits on the Dean’s Council at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.  

James (Jim) Caldwell  

Jim Caldwell is the founder, former president, and chief executive officer of the Caring Communities Group, which includes a reciprocal risk retention group, insurance company, and management services firm. Prior to leading Caring Communities starting in 2003, Jim was founder and managing partner of Caldwell Associates, Inc. (CAI), a consulting firm specializing in developing alternative insurance strategies and serving the healthcare industry. CAI led the process of organizing and founding Caring Communities. Before forming CAI, Jim was an executive at MMI Companies and was instrumental in turning the small, privately owned hospital liability insurance company into a leading, publicly traded (NYSE) international insurance and risk management organization serving the healthcare industry. A member of the Captive Insurance Council of the District of Columbia’s (CIC-DC) board of directors since 2005, Jim also served as its chairman and president from 2009–2010. He is also a member of the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU). He received his B.A. from Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN.
