Pat Jacobs

Pat was the hostess of the television and then radio show The Jewish Home Show for 43 years. After her retirement she became a volunteer at Jewish Home Lifecare’s Sarah Neuman Center and fell in the love with the Residents. At the time, her husband, Dick Jacobs, was serving a term as President of the Board of Sarah Neuman. Pat wrote and directed shows, hosted English Tea Parties, outdoor Barbeques, holiday celebrations and much more for the residents of Sarah Neuman. She co-founded the Friends of Sarah Neuman with Lisa Feiner and was successful in recruiting more volunteers to Sarah Neuman as well as planning raising money through the bi-annual Sarah Neuman Tasting event. The Sarah Neuman Tasting, an event that showcases the talent of local chefs that Pat chaired for 15 years, raised thousands of dollars toward fulfilling the mission of the Friends organization, which is to enrich the lives of Sarah Neuman residents. Pat now serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Sarah Neuman Center. Pat is also a volunteer at Purchase College and worked with schools in Westchester, Lower Connecticut and the Upper Bronx to bring thousands of students in grades K-12 to experience dance, music and theater programs at Purchase College through the Arts-in-Education program. She now serves on the Board of Trustees of Purchase College and is working to bring Purchase music and dance students to Sarah Neuman to perform for the residents as well as bring Sarah Neuman residents to Purchase for entertainment. Pat was married to Dick Jacobs for 65 years. She has two children, Diane and Suzanne and has two grandchildren, Masha and Jacob.
