Second Oldest Resident Turns 104

Libia Moliner, a resident of The New Jewish Home, turned 104 this year. She is the second oldest resident to have ever stayed in our facilities. Born in 1918 she has been through it all; numerous wars, global epidemics and technological advances. In 1950 Libia moved to New York City from Cuba. She has been a New Yorker for over 70 years.

The New Jewish Home to Create the First Green House Community for Post-Acute Care

Given our positive experience delivering the Green House model’s person-directed care at our small houses on our Westchester campus, we reached out to the Green House Project to advocate for the expansion of its care model. We are excited to share that The New Jewish Home, Manhattan, recently obtained trademark use approval from the Green House Project to create the first purpose-built Green House community for post-acute care.
