Renee Hofman, Jewish Home’s Vice President for Pharmacy Services, has been named to the New York State Board of Pharmacy. In this role, she will be part of a body charged with regulating the operation of state pharmacies and the sale and distribution of drugs, poisons, cosmetics and medical devices, and with the authority to investigate and adjudicate alleged violations of State pharmacy regulations.
Jewish Home provides on-site pharmacy services, which is unusual among comparable facilities. Renee oversees those services on Jewish Home’s three campuses and is actively involved in training the next generation of pharmacy professional.
She also serves as an examiner for the New York State Pharmacy Licensing Exam and a preceptor for the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Long Island University, the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions at St. John’s University, and the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She serves on both the Pharmacy Advisory Committee and the Clinical Pharmacy Subcommittee of the Greater New York Hospital Association, and is an active member of key state and national pharmacists’ association.
Renee earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Pharmacotherapeutics from Long Island University’s Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
